Case Studies

Our clients are some of Australia’s largest and most successful organisations, large and small. We like to think that we have contributed to our client’s success.

Here we present some of our case studies:

Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
Business Essentials

Project Overview:The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) is one of the State's largest employers with the State's largest IT infrastructure. There is a large number business critical systems across the Department. One system is CASES 21, a schools administration and management tool. Cases 21 is used by over 2000 administration staff. Delivering training to these staff in a timely manner is difficult and costly. DEECD identified that an online training solution to support this training delivery was required, but saw the need to develop internal capability to support the solution. C-Learning was engaged in 2008.

What Was Delivered: C-Learning initially delivered the following services to DEECD:

  • Developed a set of interface design and instructional design standards for e-learning in the Department
  • Delivered training to staff on e-learning production and e-learning production
  • Training in the use of KnowledgePresenter
  • Designed the user interface and pproduced 80 learning objects in KnowledgePresenter
Honda Australia
Business Essentials

Honda has almost 200 vehicle dealers located across the country and a requirement to deliver training in the most cost effective manner to staff in all these locations.

Our solution: we deployed a Learning and Training Management System to Honda and have since developed hundreds of hours of e-learning content covering:

  • New model training
  • Sales skills training
  • Certificate II/III in Vehicle Sales
  • Certificate II/III in Parts Operations
  • Podcasts on new model features and benefits
  • Technical training for vehicle technicians.

This online content, blended with Honda’s face to face delivery has maximised the reach, quality and value of training throughout the dealer network.

Amcor Fibre Packaging
Vividas

New employees to Amcor Fibre Packaging are required to understand complex systems, procedures and policies. Getting new employees on top of this quickly has been a challenge for the company.

Our solution: we developed a comprehensive onboarding program for the company. Starting with a detailed Training Needs Analysis, we identified skills gaps and training requirements. We developed a structured induction program that incorporated induction checklists, manuals, supervisor notes and several self-paced online courses that were delivered in our LMS.

This onboarding program has streamlined the induction process. The online modules are being made available to all employees to improve their knowledge and skills.

Harvey Norman Holdings
QK

Harvey Norman operates in the highly competitive retail market where the skills of sales staff are crucial to achieving sales results. But delivering training to almost 10,000 staff located across the country is difficult and expensive.

Our solution: in partnership with ABSC, Harvey Norman’s RTO, we deployed an online and self-paced course – Certificate II/III in Retail Operations to provide foundation sales skills. Since then, we have deployed hundreds of online product training, compliance and induction modules. All has been delivered through our LMS.

Harvey Norman franchisees have reported improved sales skills and more effective understanding of their core product range. This has all been achieved within a limited training budget.
